Designed as a full replacement facility on a site adjacent to the existing campus, the new Halifax County High School was envisioned as a modern, future-ready career and technical education (CTE) learning environment that reflects both the academic and community identity of Halifax County.
The school places a strong emphasis on career-connected learning, with expansive CTE labs and specialized instructional spaces integrated throughout the building.
These environments are designed to simulate real-world conditions, supporting hands-on, skills-based education aligned with workforce needs and post-secondary pathways.
Great Space, Better Learning
The building is organized around a distinctive “V” wing configuration that enhances wayfinding, maximizes natural light, and creates smaller learning communities within a larger comprehensive high school setting.
Academic classrooms are arranged to support collaboration and adaptability, allowing for a range of teaching styles and interdisciplinary learning.
The CTE program includes spaces for instruction in Automotive Repair; Horticulture, Agriculture + Landscaping; Carpentry, Plumbing + Electrician Training; Culinary Arts; Cosmetology; Business + Marketing; Junior ROTC; Healthcare + Pharmacy Tech; and Early Childhood Care.
