William is an insightful team leader helping clients and communities develop affordable multifamily housing across the mid-Atlantic. With over 18 years of experience realizing mixed-use, civic, and educational projects with diverse private and institutional clients, he has dedicated much of the last 10 years to facilitating resident-led redevelopment programs and navigating the design intricacies of publicly financed affordable housing. A Certified Passive House Consultant, he works to advance sustainable design and is a passionate advocate for improving adoption of sustainable policy and practice. He empowers development teams to make informed, sustainable choices to decarbonize buildings with healthy, low-carbon materials. Informed by his background as an educator and artist, William centers his clients’ values with positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and creative problem solving in every project. He currently serves on the boards of Resilient Virginia, AIA Central Virginia, and AIA VA Committee on the Environment.

An avid runner, carpenter, and rugby fan, William loves being outdoors, building things, and supporting his active family in theater, sports, and Scouting America treks.
