Studio 3807 is a mixed-use complex that includes a multifamily building containing 147 total apartments and five artists’ studio spaces. 15 of the apartments are townhome-style units that surround and hide a 192-space, two-level parking garage. Additional amenities include a fitness center, exterior elevated courtyard, entertainment kitchen, E-Lounge, club room, game area and dog wash.
The basic design philosophy was to create a mixed-use residential apartment building community that meets New Urbanism principles, abides by the County’s new MUI zoning requirements, and provides an exciting building that is contextual and a symbol of Brentwood’s resurgence. The buildings’ contemporary style, with solid masonry base and paneled facade, reflects the New Urbanism principles of the complex. Together with The Artisan across the street, another G+P/Landex collaboration, the new area to be known as “Artists Row,” forms the center of the Gateway Arts District, one mile north of Washington, DC and three miles south from the University of Maryland’s flagship campus in College Park.
Right along the Rhode Island Avenue street frontage, Savor at 3807 is home to a variety of pop-up food vendors, bar, and an event kitchen functioning as a communal food hall. This space allows for up-and-coming food vendors to try out a more commercial environment.
