Informal study meets established campus.

Seeking to expand its Potomac Campus, Holy Child School tasked G+P with designing Connelly Hall to both continue the esteemed legacy of the school and provide 21st Century learning spaces for its modern students. The facility’s facade complements the established aesthetic of the campus with a fresh, new character. The building also preserves the formal front lawn and trees of the campus.

Respecting traditional and building for the future, Connelly Hall supports Holy Child’s commitment to integrated instruction of science, technology and the arts by providing classrooms and labs for a variety of academic disciplines as well as a multi-use performance space, lecture hall and the school’s library. The classrooms feature high, sloped ceilings to create a light, open feeling. The wide corridors and window seats provide ample space for quiet meetings and individual study. The library serves as the central hearth for the school, creating a warm and inviting space for all students to study, gather and reflect.
