Center for Advanced Study of Language, University of Maryland
- Interior Renovation
- 130,305 sf
The 130,305 sf Center for Advanced Study of Language is a secure facility where collaborative and interdisciplinary research occurs. The facility brings people together from the government, academia, and the public, to advance areas of knowledge as well as directly serve the needs of the intelligence community. Privacy tends to be a concern for researchers. Therefore, clusters of offices were designed in lieu of a typical open floor plan to allow for future reorganization and maximum flexibility. The clusters are grouped around breakout areas to encourage interaction between researchers. This project was an interior renovation of administrative offices, labs, conference rooms and other building support spaces.
