Spring Groundbreakings

April showers bring May flowers.

It’s been a busy Spring for the G+P team with several projects breaking ground and entering the construction phase. Check out the links to a few of our latest projects in the media below.

Lansdowne Elementary School
(Groundbreaking – May 3, 2017)

Replacing the existing elementary school, the new Lansdowne ES modifies the current Baltimore County Public Schools prototype elementary school, designed by G+P, to meet the updated educational specifications. This $40 million project will include an expansive media center and television studio, a MakerLab, and a classroom for teacher development. Mount Jezreel Senior Housing
(Groundbreaking – April 29, 2017)

Mission First Housing Group, Mount Jezreel Community Development Corporation, and The Henson Development Company broke ground on a mixed-income apartment building for seniors on the campus of Mount Jezreel Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, April 29. This affordable housing residence will cater to tenants age 62 and older. Once complete, the $20 million new construction development will add 75 mixed-income apartments for seniors in Silver Spring. Billingsley Elementary School
(Groundbreaking – April 20, 2017)

Charles County Public Schools broke ground on its 22nd elementary school in a ceremony at the school site on April 20th. The new Billingsley Elementary School will open its doors to nearly 600 students at the start of the 2018-19 school year. The new 94,700 square-foot school will include 35 classrooms, environmentally friendly landscaping, four outdoor activity areas including softball fields, a nature and exercise trail, and a soccer field in front of the school.
