Stevenson Place Assisted Living
Fairfax, Virginia
The Adult Care Residence provides permanent housing with supervision and support services for adults with mental illness. The 18,000 s.f. facility is designed for residential use with 36 single occupancy rooms, each with a private bath. The rooms are arranged in six clusters grouped around a common living room, kitchenette, and exterior porch or balcony. The facility also features a group dining room, recreation room, and administration offices. The dining room has a full service kitchen to meet all the dietary needs of the residents, staff, and visitors. Residents also have access to community resources including transportation, recreation, business, employment, and medical services. The residence is home-like rather than institutional, with natural light throughout the facility, and is physically accessible to staff or residents with special physical needs, and have several multi-purpose rooms adaptable to changing needs of the residents.
