The Heights on Georgia Avenue is a mixed use residential & retail building located in the heart the Petworth neighborhood within walking distance to Howard University and the Georgia Avenue Metro station. 

The project developer team is a joint venture between NDC, a local real estate development company focused on revitalization of emerging urban neighborhoods, and MiCasa, a local organization that provides affordable housing in the District of Columbia. 

The residential component features 69 affordable rental units in five stories over 10,000 square feet of retail on the ground floor. An underground parking garage is also provided.

The design of the building maximizes usable space permitted per a Planned Unit Development (PUD) while being sensitive to the existing urban fabric and neighborhood character. 

The Heights on Georgia Avenue is designed following the Green Communities criteria. Several sustainable and energy-efficient features include a green (vegetated) roof, captured rainwater for irrigation, energy star appliances, construction materials with recycled content, etc.
